THE LAST DAYS OF JESUS

The last days of Jesus Christ's life are among the most
salient moments in human history. From Palm Sunday,
when Jesus enters Jerusalem on the back of a mule, to
his crucifixion and burial on Good Friday. These facts
have been recounted in the Canonical and Apocryphal
Gospels, in the chronicles of historians of the time, and
are depicted in millions of works of art.
Often these sources contradict each other because there are different versions of the
facts, and many of the places described do not correspond to those venerated by the
faithful.
Are we sure we know the truth?
Our documentary series starts with this question and relies on science to answer it. We will
analyze the last days of Jesus Christ using archaeology, new diagnostic techniques on
materials, topography, chemistry, physics, and the study of biblical texts. Science will
reveal the truth to us.
We will place this story in time and space, retracing the places trodden by Jesus and
analyzing the facts in historical and scientific terms. We can confirm the stories in the
gospels or dispel myths and false notions handed down as truth for centuries.
We will ask many questions, some of which may seem simple but are vital to
reconstructing the historical context of Palestine at the time and which intrigue millions of
people worldwide.
